Jo Taylor

I am a native North Carolinian now living in Asheville. I received a BVA from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia with concentrations in drawing and sculpture. Since retirement as a research nurse and educator in long term care, I have worked to combine drawing with sculpture through the exploration of intaglio and relief printmaking. My studies have included the printmaking departments at Wake Forest University and UNC-Asheville.
My work is both narrative and abstract. Often, it is my attempt to express the energetic realms of experience, the translation of inner spiritual life into a tangible architecture of line, form, and color.
