Wood grain series; printed from wood planks, printed then cut and re-arranged to study qualities
of pattern, texture, balance, and movement in space. On-going.
Large linocut series started during AVL BookWorks steamroller printing events; secret life of
bees and their importance to our food supply, trees in folktales. On-going.
Articulated Figure Narratives; most recent work, cyanotype on Stonehenge. Cut and articulated
figures. Movement, relationship and storytelling. I am interested in trying stop motion video to
satisfy my love of flip books and shadow puppets. The story is a hero’s journey about a young
girl and her shadow / animus, based on Jungian ideas and Authentic Movement.
Studio located in West Asheville. Letterpress, Book Arts and Printmaking
